Contractor's Choice Undercoat Enamel
DESCRIPTION
A cost effective, white Oil Based Undercoat for most interior and exterior applications. Suitable for both new and re-paint work.
SUITABLE PAINTING SURFACES
Suitable for both interior and exterior use over gloss and semi gloss enamel paints, primers and bare timber internally.
GENERAL DATA
Gloss Selection Guide: Flat.
Colour: White.
Application: For best results use a brush, however it can be applied by roller or spray. When spraying, thin with Mineral Turps. Provide adequate ventilation. Temperature should be above 10ºC. Early exposure to steam, overnight dew, rain or hosing may result in damage or removal of the coating.
Coverage: Will cover approximately 14 sq. metres per litre. On rough or absorbent surfaces, this will be reduced. When spraying, coverage is approximately 10 sq. metres per litre.
Thinning: Mineral turpentine in accordance with manufacturer’s instructions.
Drying: Touch dry in 4 – 6 hours. Recoat 24 hours on a day of 25ºC and 50% relative humidity, but will be longer in adverse conditions.
Clean Up: Mineral turpentine
SURFACE PREPARATION
Sand and scrape all unsound and flaking surfaces. Remove any grease, oil or rust deposits. Fill imperfections with appropriate fill. Sand smooth, sand all gloss and semi gloss surfaces to give key. Bare spots to be primed with appropriate Brinlay Wood Primer.
Apply 1 – 2 coats of Contractors Choice Oil Undercoat.

Flammability: This product is flammable. Store and use away from sources of heat and ignition.
Toxicity: Lead free. Dry film is non-toxic.
