Contractor's Choice Gloss Enamel
DESCRIPTION
An oil-based gloss enamel finish where you need a quality product at a sensible price. This product is only available in a white finish, which restricts tinting to pastel colours only. (Refer to Premium High Gloss Enamel for strong colours and tint bases). A quality interior – exterior enamel suitable for trim work, furniture and walls, ceilings in kitchen and bathroom areas where steam resistant and
durability is required.
SUITABLE PAINTING SURFACES
All interior and exterior surfaces: doors, architraves, trims, down pipes, gutters, hand rails etc.
GENERAL DATA
Gloss Selection Guide (when viewing at 60º angle to surface)
Approximately 85 – 100% at 60°
Colour: Can be tinted to a wide range of colours from a white base.
Application: Brush, roller or spray. Provide adequate ventilation. Temperature should be above 10ºC. Early exposure to steam, overnight dew, rain or hosing may result in damage or removal of the coating.
Coverage: Approx. 12 – 14 sq. metres per litre.
Thinning: Mineral turpentine in accordance with manufacturer’s instructions.
Drying: Touch dry in 4 hours. Recoat 24 hours on a day of 25ºC and 50% relative humidity, but will be longer in adverse conditions.
Clean Up: Mineral turpentine
SURFACE PREPARATION
Previously painted surfaces: Sand and scrape all unsound and flaking surfaces. Remove any grease, oil or rust deposits. Fill imperfections with appropriate fill. Sand smooth, sand all gloss and semi gloss surfaces to give key. Bare spots and exterior timber to be primed with Brinlay Wood Primer. Undercoat with Contractors Choice Oil Undercoat. Finish with 1 – 2 coats of Contractors Choice Gloss Enamel.
New Surfaces: Fill imperfections and sand smooth. Apply one coat of Contractors Choice Oil Undercoat.
Finish with 1 – 2 coats of Contractors Choice Gloss Enamel.
New Metal Surfaces: Clean and remove all rust, grease and oil deposits. Apply one coat Brinlay Zinc Phosphate or Galvanised Acrylic Primer for galvanised surfaces. Finish with 2 coats Contractors Choice Gloss Enamel.

Flammability: This product is flammable. Store and use away from sources of heat and ignition.
Toxicity: Lead free. Dry film is non-toxic.
