Premium Wood Primer - Pink or White

DESCRIPTION
An oil-based primer, which will penetrate into new unpainted timber surfaces, provide good coverage, and give an excellent base coat for subsequent paint coatings. Wood primers give an ideal surface necessary for the bond between the undercoat and the paint.
SUITABLE PAINTING SURFACES
Suitable as first coats on timber, weatherboard, doors, window frames and sills, fences, skirting boards etc. NB. Sand lightly before application of additional coats. Do not leave primed surfaces for extended periods prior to applying finish coats.

Flat.
Colour: White or Pink.
Application: For best results use a brush, however it can be applied by roller or spray. Provide adequate ventilation. Temperature should be above 10ºC. Early exposure to steam, overnight dew, rain or hosing may result in damage or removal of the coating.
Coverage: Will cover approximately 14 – 16 sq. metres per litre.
Thinning: Mineral turpentine in accordance with manufacturer’s instructions.
Drying: Touch dry in 8 hours. Recoat 24 hours on a day of 25ºC and 50% relative humidity, but will be longer in adverse conditions.
Clean Up: Mineral turpentine.
SURFACE PREPARATION
Do not use paint on wet or damp surfaces.
Previously painted surfaces: Remove all loose and flaking paint by stripper, flame or hot air gun or mechanical means. Sand the area well, feathering off edges of remaining paints. Apply Brinlay Wood Primer.
New Timber: Suitable for all seasoned timber which is free from dirt, wax, mildew etc. Sand lightly before application and between additional coats. Do not leave for extended periods prior to applying finishing coats.

Flammability: This product is flammable. Store and use away from sources of heat and ignition.
Toxicity: Lead free. Dry film is non-toxic.
