Trade 2000 Paints

Quality acrylic based products with specially balanced formulations to meet the requirements of the professional painter. They provide excellent clean application properties, the desired coverage with a minimum of coats, a range of gloss finishes and preparation paints with the required performance properties for the job.

SURFACE PREPARATION

All surfaces must be prepared in accordance with proper trade practices by disinfecting mould, removing dirt, dust, oil, grease and, where necessary, washing with sugar soap, then rinsing clean to remove residues.
All flaking cracked and poorly adhered paints should be removed prior to the application of new paints. Previously painted gloss and semigloss finishes should be sanded to provide the essential key for the new coatings. Fill cracks and holes with a suitable filler. Use these products with the other Brinlay ranges of quality paints to provide correct sealing, priming and undercoating to give a lasting professional finish for the job.

APPLICATION

Stir thoroughly with a broad flat stirrer before and during use. May be applied with brush, spray or roller. Use and dry in temperatures above 10°C.

COVERAGE

16 square metres per litre. Clean up and thin with water.

DRYING

On days of 25°C and 50% humidity (Under adverse conditions, allow longer drying time). Touch dry in 30 minutes and re-coat in 2 hours.

Flat: 0 – 1 Low Sheen: 3 – 8 Satin: 15 – 20

SAFETY DIRECTIONS

Keep out of reach of children. Provide adequate ventilation by keeping windows and doors open during use and drying. Avoid prolonged skin contact. Do not pour left over paint down drain.

FIRST AID

SWALLOWED: Drink plenty of water and seek medical advice.

EYE CONTACT: Thoroughly rinse with clean water. If irritation persists, seek medical advice.

IMPORTANT PROCEDURES

Stir paint thoroughly before use. Trade 2000 is available in white only, and tints will only be approximate matches.If several cans of tinted paint are needed for final coat, box together for colour consistency. Keep a small container of finishing paint for touch ups due to damage. If problems are encountered during the paint job, seek advice from Brinlay Paints or our stockists before continuing.
Allow paints to cure for 7 days prior to cleaning or hosing. Clean with care, using a wet sponge cloth and an abrasive cleaner.

TRADE 2000 MULTI-PREP

This undercoat is based on a copolymer latex, and provides excellent hiding, filling and maximum gloss hold out when used on either interior or exterior surfaces. It is suitable for both re-painting and new work, and provides a smooth, slightly lustrous, easily sanded surface. It may be over-coated with either turps or water thinned finishes.
Because of the excellent binding qualities, it is usually not necessary to prime interior woodwork before using Multi-Prep.
It has been manufactured to the equivalent standard of GPC-5-17/2 and GPC-U-163/2. Available in 20 litre only.

TRADE 2000 FLAT

This tradeline product is a soft matt finish paint based on a copolymer latex emulsion, and is for interior use only. It is ideal for all walls and ceilings where a flat finish is required, and has high opacity for good coverage. It is available in white and selected pastel colours shown on Brinlay’s Colour Card. It has been manufactured to the equivalent standard of GPC-L-26/7.
Available in 20 litre only.

TRADE 2000 LOW SHEEN

This product is based on a copolymer latex emulsion, has a soft sheen, good coverage with hardwearing properties, and has high opacity for good coverage. It is available in white and selected pastel colours for use on interior surfaces. It has been manufactured to the equivalent standard of GPC-L-26/5.
Available in 20 litres only.

TRADE 2000 SATIN

This semigloss acrylic paint is based on a copolymer latex emulsion and is available in white and a range of pastel colours. It dries to a smooth mid-satin sheen finish on all types of properly prepared surfaces and is suitable for both interior and exterior use. It is ideal for walls and ceilings in kitchens and children’s rooms as well as on exterior masonry, and has high opacity for good coverage. It has been manufactured to the equivalent standard of GPC-L-26/7.

TRADE 2000 BLOCK & RENDER FILLER

This product is a co-polymer latex based, water thinned filler designed for application to untreated masonry substrates that require filling (e.g. Cement render, masonry blocks etc). It is supplied as a white flat finish, which may be tinted using Universal Tinters. This product is suitable for interior use and should never be over-coated with enamel paints.
Available in 20 litres only.

TRADE 2000 GLOSS ENAMEL

A quality interior / exterior gloss enamel suitable for trim work, furniture and walls and ceilings in kitchen and bathroom areas where steam resistance and durability is required.

COVERAGE

1 – 2 coats are recommended. The spreading rate is approximately 14 square metres per litre.

DRYING TIME

Touch dry in 4 hours. Re-coat in 24 hours. Under cold or humid conditions drying time may be extended. Do not use in temperatures less than 10ºC.
